This page explains what data we collect when you use lamangarent.com, why we collect it, and the cookies the site sets. We’ve kept it short because we keep things simple: one studio, one host, no marketing trackers.

Who we are

lamangarent is a trading name for the direct booking of one studio apartment in La Manga del Mar Menor, Murcia, Spain.

For the purposes of UK and EU data protection law (UK GDPR and GDPR), lamangarent is the data controller for any personal data you submit through this site.

What we collect

We only collect what we need to take a booking and reply to you:

• Name
• Email address
• Phone number
• Stay dates
• Any information you choose to add in the optional message

We do not ask for an address, ID, or details of other guests at the booking-request stage.

No online payment is taken on this website, so it does not collect or store card details. Payment method and timing are agreed directly after a booking request is confirmed.

Why we collect it

• To confirm your booking and send check-in details
• To reply to questions you send by email or WhatsApp
• To handle the booking request and agree the stay and payment directly
• To comply with Spanish tax and tourism record-keeping where required

The legal basis is performance of a contract (your booking) and, where relevant, our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.

Who we share it with

Only service providers needed to operate the website and correspondence:

• Website hosting and booking-system providers process only the technical data needed to operate, secure and deliver your request.
• Our email provider holds your booking enquiry in our inbox.

We do not sell your data or share it for advertising. We use only private, self-hosted aggregate visit statistics to understand which pages are useful and keep the site working.

How long we keep it

• Booking emails: up to 5 years, to meet Spanish tax record requirements
• Enquiries that don’t lead to a booking: up to 12 months, then deleted
• Payment records: retained only where required for tax or accounting; this website stores no card details

Your rights

You can ask us to:

• See what data we hold about you
• Correct anything that’s wrong
• Delete your data (where we don’t need to keep it for tax/legal reasons)
• Export your data

If you’re not happy with our response, you can complain to the Spanish data protection authority (AEPD, aepd.es) or your local equivalent.

Cookies

The site uses a necessary language-preference cookie so it can remember the selected language. It is not used for advertising.

There are no marketing cookies, social-media advertising trackers, pixels or browser fingerprinting. You can control necessary cookies in your browser, although disabling them may stop some functions working correctly.

Server logs

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) for security and to keep the site running. These logs are retained for a short period and are not used for tracking or profiling.

Changes to this policy

If we change anything material, we’ll update the date at the top. The current version is always the one on this page.
