Restaurante Taste of India – Sabor de la India
A tasty, good-value spot for Indian dinner with lagoon views, though the food may take a while to arrive.
Why go
After enough years in La Manga, you get a feel for which places are worth stopping at. When I see one restaurant busy while the others nearby are half-empty, I usually take that as a sign. That is exactly how I ended up at Restaurante Taste of India.
We came here for dinner as a pair at around 8 pm, and the first impression held up: the food was good, the prices were sensible, and the service was the kind that still feels pleasantly surprising in a resort area. Nothing flashy, just a place doing its job properly.
What I actually tried
We ordered vegetable samosa, chicken korma, and garlic naan. Everything tasted freshly made rather than pulled from pre-prepared components, and that showed. The food was satisfying and well put together, without that feeling that the plate only exists to move tourists through as fast as possible.
Because it was a dinner for two, it was easy enough to get a solid impression of both the kitchen and the pace. They are not cooking in a hurry here, so this is more of a sit-down dinner place than somewhere for a quick in-and-out meal.

What I liked most
The biggest plus for me was the balance between quality and price. During my visit, starters were around 7 euros and mains around 10 to 14 euros, which felt quite fair by La Manga resort standards.
Service was another strong point. We were looked after very warmly, and I got the impression that an Indian family runs the place themselves. In restaurants like this, you usually notice that less in the decor and more in the way people treat both guests and food.
I also liked the setting itself: the restaurant sits in the Puerto Tomás Maestre area, along a long row of restaurants, with views over the lagoon. You can sit outside or under cover, so it works well for dinner either way.

One important thing before you go
If you arrive very hungry and expect everything quickly, it is worth adjusting your expectations. We had to wait quite a while. On the other hand, that was also part of why the food did not feel reheated or rushed. In my case, the wait felt justified.
During my visit, this place was genuinely busy while the surrounding restaurants were quieter. That makes me think it has its own regular audience, especially for dinner.

Who this place suits
I would recommend it to anyone looking for good Indian food without fuss and without an unpleasant surprise when the bill arrives. It also works well for an easy evening by the lagoon.
From what I saw, people come here not only to eat but also to settle in for dinner with a drink. Quite a few tables were ordering drinks, so it felt like the kind of place where you can stay a while rather than just race through a main course.

Practical things worth knowing
During my visit on 2026-09-13, there was no need to book and there were seats available. At that time, I was also told they were still preparing food until late, around 10 pm. Since this kind of detail can change, it is worth checking the latest information before you go.
It is in the Puerto Tomás Maestre part of La Manga, so it is easy to combine with a walk around the marina or an evening plan on that side of town.
Good to know
We waited quite a while for the food, so if you are in a rush, this place may test your patience.
