Geominera Path

If I want a short, uncomplicated hike with sea views, this is a path I would happily choose again.

Why go

After 15 years in La Manga, I have learned to tell the difference between places worth doing for the views and places you only do to tick them off. Geominera Path felt like one of those routes where you do not need heroic energy, but you still get a genuinely nice walk.

What stands out here is how simple it is in the best way: an easy trail, gentle climbs, sea views, and a fun little detour if you feel like heading down to a more secluded beach.

What I actually tried

I was here on 2026-09-14, in mid-September, at around 6 pm, with clear weather. I walked the full route out and back, and on my visit it came to about 5 km and took roughly 1 hour 30 minutes.

The route felt easy to me, with around 100 metres of elevation change. This is not the kind of hike that makes you look for excuses to avoid the stairs when you get home.

The route and the views

The biggest strength of this trail for me was the balance between effort and scenery. It is an easy path, the climbs are minor, and the sea keeps reminding you why going for a walk was a good idea in the first place.

Another plus is that the trail is easy to follow, and during my visit the markings were in place. The ground is rocky, so decent shoes definitely help, but technically I did not find anything difficult here.

If you want, you can go down to the sea. There is a more secluded beach there where you can stop for a break, rest, or swim. For me, that was one of the nicest bonuses of this route.

Who it suits and when I would go

I would suggest this trail to almost anyone looking for an easy, good-looking hike with sea and mountain views. It works well when you do not want a long or demanding route, but still want a walk that feels like more than just city pacing.

One practical note about the conditions: from what I saw, there was very little shade here, so the middle of the day can get seriously hot. Because of that, I would personally choose a later afternoon walk or another less intense time, and I would definitely bring water.

Practical notes before you go

At the start, there was a free parking area during my visit, so access felt straightforward.

The essentials here are very simple: proper footwear and water. Since the trail is rocky and exposed to the sun, I would not count on flip-flops and optimism being a great combination.

Good to know

Because the trail is easy, you can run into bigger slow-moving groups, and they are not always easy to pass.
